1. Overview

Welcome to r.nz. These Terms & Conditions explain your rights and responsibilities when using our Service. By accessing or using r.nz, you agree to follow these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use r.nz.

 

2. Definitions

3. Accepting These Terms

By using r.nz, you confirm that:

  • You accept these Terms and Conditions

  • You are over 18

  • You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy

  • You understand that we fully own the domain name r.nz and all subdomains connected to it. You have the rights to use the subdomain for personal or business use and retain the usage of the name so long as your account is kept up to date. Should the account expire. You will lose the rights to use the name and it will be returned to the pool for reallocation. 

  • If the subdomain is directed to an illegal domain, we have the rights to disable the connection. 

If you disagree with any part, you may not use the Service.

 

4. Using the Service

You agree to use r.nz responsibly and legally. This includes following our Fair Use and Anti‑Abuse Policy (Section 12).

 

5. Third‑Party Links

Some pages may link to websites we don’t own or control. We’re not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or actions. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third‑party sites you visit.

 

6. Ending Your Access

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms. If that happens, your right to use the Service stops immediately.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any)

  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption

 

8. “As‑Is” Service Disclaimer

r.nz is provided as‑is and as available. We do not guarantee:

  • That the Service will always work

  • That it will be error‑free

  • That information on the site will always be accurate

  • That the Service or emails from us are free from malware

 

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

 

10. Resolving Disputes

If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

11. Severability & Waivers

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a right does not mean we waive it.

 

12. Fair Use, Traffic Limits & Anti‑Abuse Policy

12.1 Monthly Traffic & Click Limits

Each plan includes a monthly click allowance. If you exceed your limit:

  • Your redirects will continue working

  • We may pause analytics or ask you to upgrade

12.2 Programmatic Abuse

We may throttle or suspend traffic if we detect:

  • Botnets

  • Automated scraping

  • Infrastructure stress‑testing

12.3 Redirect Modification Limits

To maintain system performance:

  • Basic Plan: 20 updates/month

  • Medium Plan: 100 updates/month

  • Developer/Agency Plan: 200 updates/month

12.4 Prohibited Destinations

You may not use r.nz to redirect to:

  • Phishing or identity theft sites

  • Malware or harmful downloads

  • Spam or fast‑flux networks

  • Illegal content or IP‑infringing material

12.5 Email Forwarding Fair Use

Email forwarding is inbound‑only. You may not use r.nz to send outbound bulk or marketing emails.

12.6 Enforcement

We may suspend, terminate, or delete any subdomain or redirect without notice if it violates this policy or threatens the .nz registry.

 

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If changes are significant, we’ll provide at least 30 days’ notice before they take effect.

 

14. Translation

If these Terms are translated, the English version is the official one.
